		<description>There's no direct route to Otavalo from Baños that I know of.  It could be possible, if your in a group or have sufficient money to contract a tour guide in Banos to take you to Otavalo, but it will be a fairly expensive endeavor to try to organize that at the last minute.

By regular public bus, it will take you three trips:
 Banos -&gt; Ambato (1 hour approx... may vary)
 Ambato -&gt; Quito (3 hours) 
 Quito -&gt; Otavalo (2.5 hours)

If you cant find a direct bus in Ambato because they are already full, this could turn into two trips Ambato -&gt; Latacunga, Latacunga -&gt; Quito. If you have time for side trip along they way, stop in Latacunga and find your way to Quilotoa, a large crater lake and home to the highest village in Ecuador. You wont regret that trip.</description>
